Dr. Kirstin Young:

I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and grew up with a menagerie of different animals. We had dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, an iguana and a pot bellied pig named Cleo. I have always had a great love of animals and people. This is what has driven me throughout my life to become a veterinarian. I wanted to foster that relationship people have with their pets. I knew by keeping their beloved pets happy and healthy that I would be helping people as well.

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993. I went on to attend Veterinary School at Colorado State University and graduated in 1997.

I spent my first 6 years as a veterinarian in Kingman, AZ where I really enjoyed getting to know some amazing people and their four-legged family members. I then relocated to Washington State with my husband and spent 9 years in Olympia. Although I really loved everything the Pacific Northwest had to offer, I knew that in my heart I was ready to come back home.

From the first moment I drove into Anthem in 2009, I knew this was where I wanted to raise my family. I fell in love with the small town atmosphere and tight community spirit that I saw every time I found an excuse to visit. I finally realized my dream early this year when my family found a house here in Anthem and opened Daisy Mountain Veterinary Hospital. My husband, Jeff, our 8 year old daughter, Hannah, and I have been welcomed into this community with open arms and know we have found our "forever home". I look forward to becoming your other family doctor!

Dr. Meagan Lee:

I grew up in Southeast Georgia trying to save all the neighborhood animals including the injured squirrels. We always had dogs and cats in our home and I always wanted to know what they were saying. I decided that being a veterinarian would give me the best chance to be “Dr. Dolittle” and I have been working towards that goal ever since. I went to the University of Georgia for my undergraduate education in which I graduated with a BSA in Animal Science in 2008 and soon after graduation I moved to northern California with my husband.

I have spent the last six years in different parts of California working toward my goal of becoming a veterinarian.  I graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine with my DVM in May of 2014.

My husband, Alex, our dog, Missy, our cat, Izzy, and I have made Arizona our new home. We have embraced the Arizona summers and look forward to the Arizona winters and everything in between. I am excited to be beginning my career at Daisy Mountain Veterinary Hospital and can’t wait to take care of your four-legged family members like they were my own.
